Pricing

Clear starting points for practical manufacturing improvement.

Pricing depends on scope, site needs, travel and the level of implementation support required. These starting points are designed to make the first conversation easier and more transparent.

from A$1,500

  • Production Skills & Training Matrix System
  • QR access points, registers, logic and workflows
  • SOPs, posters and rollout support where needed

from A$1,200

KPI & Reporting Dashboards

Practical dashboards and reporting structures that help teams track output, labour, rework and day-to-day operational performance more clearly.

Ideal for: Manufacturers still chasing numbers manually or working from messy spreadsheets that are hard to trust and even harder to use.
  • Daily and weekly KPI structures
  • Supervisor and management reporting views
  • Practical KPI selection
  • Google Sheets or Looker Studio reporting options
  • Handover and walkthrough

from A$2,500

Layout & Workflow Projects

Support for improving movement, floor-space use, workstation setup and workflow through a structured layout and flow review.

  • Current-state layout review
  • Movement and workflow analysis
  • Workstation and handover review
  • Improvement recommendations
  • Defined next-step project scope where needed

from A$1,750/day

On-site Troubleshooting

Ideal for: Factories that need a practical engineering brain on the ground without hiring full-time.
  • On-site review and problem diagnosis
  • Structured assessment of likely causes
  • Observation of process, workstation or workflow issues
  • Practical support with action priority
  • Clear recommendation on next steps

from A$160/hour

Advisory Support

Vendor-neutral production and manufacturing input for operational decisions, process changes, equipment choices or improvement work that needs an experienced second view.

Ideal for: Businesses that want grounded guidance before spending heavily or moving too quickly on the wrong solution.
  • Remote or targeted advisory support
  • Operational and engineering second opinions
  • Decision support before larger spend
  • Focused input on next-step options

from A$2,500/month

Fractional Engineering Support

Ongoing support for manufacturers who need regular production engineering input, project momentum and operational improvement support without a full-time hire.

Ideal for: Businesses that want continuity, practical oversight and regular help across reporting, bottlenecks, layout, systems and improvement work.
  • Regular engineering support
  • Priority-based operational input
  • Flexible project and problem-solving coverage
  • Monthly structure tailored to need
  • Remote, on-site or mixed support where suitable

Visibility system packages

From a working first version to live management visibility.

The visibility systems can start small and grow from there. A core system gives the team a proper way to capture and follow up information. A dashboard adds management visibility. Review support helps keep the system useful after launch.

typically from A$1,200–A$2,500

Core System Setup

A practical first version of a shopfloor visibility system, set up around the way your team actually works.

  • Submission form or update workflow
  • Structured register or tracker
  • Basic routing, status or scoring logic
  • QR access points where useful
  • Simple SOP or rollout notes

quoted by scope

Dashboard Add-On

A live management dashboard connected to the underlying register so submissions are visible, trackable and easier to review.

  • Looker Studio dashboard setup
  • Submission trends and activity views
  • Open item and priority visibility
  • Category, area or issue-type reporting
  • Walkthrough and handover

monthly or as needed

Review & Refinement Support

Support after launch to refine the system, review the data and help turn visibility into action.

  • Monthly review conversations
  • Scoring or category refinement
  • Management reporting support
  • Follow-up action structure
  • Ongoing improvement of the system

Example systems

The aim is not to add admin. The aim is to make the work visible enough to act on.

A practical first version of a visibility system can often be implemented quickly, sometimes within 48 hours, depending on the site, scope and customisation required.

Part Issue Reporting

Capture issues with evidence, route them clearly and make follow-up easier.

Improvement Ideas

Capture, score and prioritise shopfloor ideas before they disappear.

Skills Matrix

Keep training status, skill coverage and refresh needs visible to team leaders.

Notes

How pricing is handled.

The aim is to keep the commercial side simple: agree the scope, agree the price structure, then do the work properly.

  • Most clearly defined work is quoted as a fixed-fee project once the scope is clear.
  • Advisory work may be billed hourly where that structure suits the job better.
  • On-site support, troubleshooting and workshops may be priced by half-day or full-day rate.
  • Travel outside the Sydney metro area is quoted separately and agreed before booking.
  • Payment is usually due within 7 days of invoice unless agreed otherwise in writing.
  • FlowForge Engineering is not currently GST registered, so GST is not charged unless this changes.

Questions

Common pricing questions.

Do you charge hourly or fixed fee?

Both. Clearly defined work is usually quoted as a fixed-fee project. Advisory and certain support work may be billed hourly, by half-day or by day.

Can we start small first?

Yes. The best starting point for many clients is a paid Production Review, which helps clarify priorities before committing to broader work.

Can the visibility systems be standalone projects?

Yes. The Part Issue Reporting & Escalation System, Continuous Improvement Idea System and Production Skills & Training Matrix System can be delivered as standalone projects or folded into a broader operational improvement scope.

Are these just Google Forms and spreadsheets?

No. The tools may use Google Forms, Sheets, Apps Script, QR codes or Looker Studio, but the value is in the implemented system: the structure, logic, rollout material, workflow and management visibility around it.

Can you add a dashboard?

Yes. A Looker Studio dashboard can usually be added to provide live visibility of submissions, open items, trends, priorities and follow-up activity, as long as the source structure remains stable.

Do you work outside Sydney?

Yes. FlowForge is based in Sydney and available Australia-wide. Travel for day trips or multi-day work is quoted separately where needed.

Do you do product design or R&D work?

No. The focus is production, assembly and manufacturing improvement. FlowForge does not provide standalone product design, R&D, drafting, certification or compliance sign-off services.

What happens after the first enquiry?

Usually we start with a short conversation to understand the operation, the problem and whether a Production Review, visibility system or another starting point makes sense.
